The monsoon has reached most of the regions of the country including the hills, and the plains too, as the regions are experiencing the showers already.
However, the national capital Delhi isn’t getting the monsoon showers anytime soon, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that the monsoon has been much delayed in the regions such as Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Western Uttar Pradesh, due to the current weather conditions.
IMD has stated that the effect of the Western Disturbances on the onset of monsoon may remain until 23rd June, however, the regions of north-western India may slowly receive the monsoon showers from 26th June to 30th June.
As per the predictions of IMD, the regions of Eastern UP and Bihar may receive heavy to very rainfall today. Monsoon is expected to reach Delhi by 27th June 2021.
